Desde la orilla oriental del estuario voy a postear en este blog lo que considero lo mejor la producción artística del Uruguay.
Esto es la obra de los escritores, músicos, pintores, actores, poetas, dramaturgos, cineastas, bailarines, etc., que considero forjadores de lo que en el imaginario colectivo es el "ser uruguayo", o que han realizado una obra trascendental y de referencia en el acotado ambiente artístico de este país de cercanías.
Al contrario de lo que dice la moda, no voy a empezar por los más olvidados. No intento rescatar a nadie del olvido, por eso empezaré por los constructores de nuestra identidad actual. El primer post es un video de Alfredo Zitarrosa, interpretando El violín de Becho, milonga.
El sentimiento que transmite la milonga es, probablemente, el sentimiento más uruguayo que hay.

Mientras uno más se unde en las raíces, más se internacionaliza, dice un tipo que es escritor teatral y al que una vez le pregunté porque tanto interés en las leyendas del campo chileno...
